Mena Alexandra Suvari (born on the 13th of February, 1979) is an American actress fashion designer and model. She began her modeling career in 1990 and soon moved to acting after appearances in television shows like Boy Meets World or High Incident. In 1997 she debuted as a film actress in Nowhere. The actress made her way to major roles with her performances on American Beauty for which she received nominations for an BAFTA Award and American Pie both of which earned more attention. In the following years, she appeared as the protagonist for the role of a protagonist in Sugar & Spice (2000) alongside American Pie star Jason Biggs. Her appearances were in the 2002 acclaimed independent drama Spun and in the 2004 thriller feature Trauma. Her other appearances include HBO's drama Six Feet Under. The show also featured her in Day of the Dead and The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, and the film versions of The Garden of Eden. Suvari has been featured in fashion-related blogs as well as in magazines, such Vogue as well as Lancome Paris Adaptive print ads. Suvari has been a defender and a defender of the African Medical and Research Foundation which is a well-known organization that provides relief to Africa.
